Buyers Agency

Posted by Lisa Papp under For Buyers, General Information

I am not sure why some buyers do not want to enter into a buyers agency?  After all we do work free for the buyers (in most cases).  Here is why a Buyers Agency is so important to REALTORS.

  • It protects us against another Agent from taking our clients that we invested a lot of time and gas into.  Remember REALTORS do NOT get paid a regular wage.  It is ONLY when a property closes that we will get paid.  No Closing NO PAY!
  • Just because you sign an Agency with an Agent, DOES NOT mean you have to buy something.  Yes, there are some very pushy Agents that care only about their commission and want to to pick something fast and expensive.  If you feel uncomfortable then say something.  The Agency is set up to protect our time and money from another agent taking a client we worked hard for.
  • Would you work for Free? Me either! That is what happens when you spend many hours with a client looking up properties on the internet and the gas it takes to drive to all the homes. In the hopes you find the home you want to put an offer on. If I lose a sale because you could not find a home right for you is ok with me.  It is NOT ok if another agents take the glory when I was the one that did all the work.

Do me a favor and SIGN A BUYERS AGENCY!

We all want the most for our investments.  I cringe when I have to tell sellers their home isn’t worth what they think it is or we have to reduce the price.  In today’s market there are many homes to choose from.  What makes your home stand out from all the others to make it worth the price you feel it should bring?  That is the questions I always my clients.

When selling your home it always amazes me that some homeowners feel they don’t have to do certain up dates to their homes in order to keep the appreciation of their homes up.  Here are some of the main responsibilities not options, that home owners need to maintain or you will hear a buyer demanding for it to be fixed or taken off the price of the home.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A HOME OWNER
